About the Community Garden

In 2007 the Falcon Heights Environment Commission organized a community garden for Falcon Heights residents who have no space to garden where they live. The garden is located at Community Park on the southeast corner of Roselawn & Cleveland.

Participants are required to pay an annual plot fee (see fee schedule for current per plot fee) and take part in the spring preparation and site upkeep through the season.  The garden plots are each 10' x 12' in size.  The site is fenced against rabbits and water is provided.

New for 2026

LOTTERY APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR 2026

Returning gardeners are given first right of refusal through February 1.  If any plots remain open, then lottery application forms will be available to new gardeners, who must be current Falcon Heights residents, online from February 4 to February 28. Open plots will then be assigned to applicants by lottery in early March. Those selected in the lottery will be notified by email and sent a request for payment with a deadline for payment stated in the email. Applications not selected in the lottery system will not be retained on file and must reapply during a subsequent open lottery period to be considered.

Applications can either be mailed to City Hall or emailed.

A second garden plot cannot be issued to an existing gardener until there are no applications received through the lottery for those wanting their first garden plot.

If you have questions, please contact Kelly Nelson at kelly.nelson@falconheights.org, or call City Hall at 651-792-7600.
